Guide to Cruise Ports and Terminals
Cartagena is located on the southeast coast of Spain, approximately 50 km south of Murcia. It has a population of approximately 200,000 people.
Most cruise ships dock at the Cartagena Marina, which is located right in the city centre. Occasionally, a ship will need to dock on the south side of the harbour.
A tourist information office can be found at the cruise dock. Free city maps are available.
A shuttle service is not required for most cruise ships visiting Cartagena. If, however, a ship needs to dock on the south side of the harbour, a shuttle service is made available to passengers.
A tour bus as well as a tour boat operates in Cartagena.
The double-decker tour bus is called "Tourist Bus" (Bus Turistico). It visits places of interest in old Cartagena as well as modern Cartagena. The tour is 45 minutes in duration and costs 7 euro (6 euro for seniors).
Cartagena provides a free bike usage service. Visitors can receive a bike key by presenting your passport at any of the tourist information offices.
