Wellington NZ Cruise Port

Cruise ships arriving in Wellington New Zealand dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.  It has three main piers:

  1. Aotea Quay (2.5 km from the city centre)
  2. Queen's Wharf
  3. Overseas Terminal

The cruise port is located on Wellington Harbour near Westpac Stadium and the Railway Station.  Walking time to the city centre is approximately 25 minutes.

Public Transportation

Port Shuttle

A free shuttle bus service, operated by the port authority, shuttles cruise passengers between the port and downtown Wellington (to the i-Site Visitor Centre).

Bus Service

Bus service is available from the railway station.

Ferry Service

Ferry service runs from Wellington on the North Island to Picton on the South Island.  The crossing takes approximately 3.5 hours.
