Yokohama Cruise Port (Tokyo)

Tokyo is Japan's capital and the nation's largest city.  It has a population of 37 million people, making it the largest city in the world.

The city of Yokohama is located 33 km south of Tokyo. It is the second largest city in Japan with a population of 3.7 million.

Two cruise ports serve the city of Tokyo: one in Tokyo proper and the other in Yokohama.

The Yokohama Cruise Port is located in the heart Yokohama city. Tourist attractions and shopping areas are close to the port. There are tree terminals at the port:

  1. Osanbashi-Pier
  2. Daikoku-Pier
  3. Sinko-Pier

Public Transportation

International Airports

There are two international airports in the Tokyo area:

  1. Narita International Airport (60 km east of Tokyo city centre)
  2. Tokyo International Airport - Haneda Airport (15 km south of Tokyo Station)

The closest airport to the Yokohama Cruise Terminal is Haneda Airport.  It is situated between Tokyo and Yokohama.

Train Service

From central Tokyo (Tokyo Station) one can take a train to Yokohama (Shinyokohama).  From Shinyokohama, you can then transfer to the metro (blue line) and head to Kannai.

Direct train service from Tokyo Station to Kannai is also available using the Keihin-Tōhoku/Negishi line.

The nearest metro station to each of the three piers are as follows:

  1. Osanbashi-Pier: Nihon-odori Station ***
  2. Daikoku-Pier: Motomachi Chuukagai Station
  3. Sinko-Pier: Bashamichi Station

 From each of the metro stations, it is a short walk to the respective cruise terminal.

Bus Service

Bus service to each of the piers is provided by Yokohama Municipal Bus.

The hop-on hop-off bus services in Yokohama is called: Akai Kutsu (Red Shoes) Bus
